I've been a little absent from blogging lately. I've been trying to sort out some issues in regards to my travel arrangements. Let's just say it's a good idea to have more than 6 months validity left on your passport when you travel!!! Anyway, I won't bore you with that. I want to talk about all the summer fruits I've spotted lately. I love this time of the year. The markets are alive with the aroma of stone fruits and berries. The colours are strong, vibrant and fiery. I've bought nectarines, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and cherries. I've tried to use them in a variety of ways but today's post won't have any recipes. These will follow in the coming week. Except for the nectarines. I just munch on those until the juices run down my chin. I actually have a bit of a nectarine addiction!

Pin itI've also spent a fair bit of time photographing these summer fruits. Actually a lot of time! I hope by Monday to have my online photography portfolio available. I'll have the name and link available and I'll make a big "hoo-ha" announcement here! But I'm not leaving my day job just yet! It's an area I hope to pursue semi professionally. Blogging has opened up a lot of opportunities and allowed me to do what I love most. Be creative with food! Hope you enjoy the pictures and I'll be back shortly with a few "fun" recipes and pictures!
