My obsessive nature has no boundaries!
Take these gorgeous figs I found the other day.
They were an absolute bargain (ten for $3!) and I couldn’t help myself when I began photographing them!
One shot become two and before I knew it I had placed them on different surfaces and shot them from different angles.
These are the results.
When it came to eating them, I contemplated so many recipes. I even thought about turning them into a “cheat’s” quick jam. In then end I enjoyed them “au naturel” with a medley of other fruits.
But I couldn’t help myself. Look out next week for a baked lime cheesecake (my first one!) and how I used the figs to complement this creamy dessert.
For now though take care and enjoy your weekend.
Cheers!

Obsessive natures are indication of greatness! $3 a punnet. Not only are you a great photographer, you are the man when it comes to bargain hunting, lol. The figs look gorgeous here Peter. Au Naturel is the best way to go. Have a lovely weekend
Oh wow how wonderful are your photos. !
absolutely beautiful photographs yet again. Beautiful photographs of a beautiful subject. To think that until quite recently I wouldn’t go near figs unless they had been made into “glyko” by my mother. Now I devour them.
And to tell you a funny story that I remember quite clearly from my childhood involving figs, “glyko”, my mother and her friend, 2 plastic buckets and an elderly gentleman who believed figs were poisonous. ……..two greek ladies set off with their children in an inner city suburb to go and knock on the door of a house with a giant fig tree. “No, no, you can’t have those love”says the gentleman, “they’re poison”. Off go the 2 greek ladies and their children, only to return that night and strip the tree.
Wow these are simply stunning….I only hope to be able to take shots like this one day!
