doughnut cake

Yesterday I featured Mowie with his refreshing blackberry and ginger granita and today I’m thrilled to be  over at Mowie’s blog guest posting about this creation.  It’s my “celebration doughnut cake” or potato doughnuts with a rosewater icing.  Head on over to take a look and say hi.

Peter – this cake is truly something to celebrate! It looks so beautiful with the roses and I am sure the flavours are fantastic especially with the rosewater icing!

Pete, it’s coffee time here and a few doughnuts would go real well. That rosewater icing sounds delish!

Of course, your photos are WAY prettier than mine, and I didn’t make the doughnuts myself, but I’m happy to have been an inspiration! :D

Oh, Doughnuts. Something that I love and know I shouldn’t eat. Love the colour of the flowers and how they make the photo just pop with colour. The rose water icing is an interesting touch.

It’s so pretty…it could substitute for a wedding cake. I’m off to Mowie’s to see more.

What a beautiful creation! I am not a great fan of rosewater -reminds me of all things grandmother-y- but the doughnuts look scrumptious.

doughnuts are having such a huge resurgance, I think it is only a matter of time until they start showing up in full force at weddings. If they’re as pretty as this I won’t mind at all.
